Workshop A

Vulnerability! The Act of Courage

by Iveta Clarke – PCC, mentor, writer & speaker

Why does it pay off to cross the scary waters?

Is vulnerability a weakness?  When the question is asked like this, most of us disagree.  We know that being vulnerable is a very uncomfortable place, yet we sense there is more to it….

We can all agree, perhaps, that vulnerability is rare.  We do not dare it too often and not with just anyone. It is something we all know but are afraid to show too much.  Why is that?  Are we really that afraid we will get hurt?  Could it be that we do not understand fully, what our vulnerability actually brings into our lives?  More courage, connection, intimacy, authenticity and joy… Lets be curious together.

In this workshop, we will explore the relationship between vulnerability and courage and human connection.  Based on powerful research outcomes from Dr. Brené Brown, we will immerse in our own vulnerability traps – where are we vulnerable and why? What myths we tell ourselves about being vulnerable? How do we protect ourselves from vulnerability? And finally, what happens when the entire armory goes down and all there is left is just us, vulnerable but real.  What can be there to make it worthwhile? Come prepared for the real stuff…

Iveta is a personal mentor to executives and leaders, a writer and an inspiring speaker. She partners up with successful people who seek support in making sense of complexity in their lives. Iveta is a world citizen. She has an extensive life and professional experience, gained by living in several countries on two continents and – for 20+ years – working in hard-core business leadership roles of multinational corporations and institutions, such as USAID, Warner Lambert, Pfizer and Ernst &Young.

In 2013, she participated in Shame Resilience Curriculum certification program in San Antonio, TX, personally lead by Dr. Brene Brown. Based on this experience, she since initiates public conversations about shame, vulnerability and trust in Central Europe and promotes these topics as subject of curiosity in corporate and business environment. She lives and works in Prague.  “Your energy is like a fingerprint. It personalizes everything you touch.”

Workshop B

Holistic leadership

by Malind Hedlund – Leadership Coach & Founder MHLeadership

Step into your greatness and become a healthy, thriving & confident leader!

I believe that everyone already has what it takes to succeed. And that fun at work will ultimately bring out a sense of commitment and initiative in people you lead. As a leader you want to inspire your surroundings, create an inspirational, uplifting atmosphere for people to grow and develop. In order to do that, you need to understand how your identity impacts others. During the workshop you will learn:

  • How to best show up as a healthy, thriving, confident leader.
  • The importance of wellbeing – taking care of yourself FIRST.
  • Why greater awareness how you define yourself as a leader matters.

The workshop will be practical, interactive and you will feel energized and inspired when you leave.

Let me help you thrive!

Malin started out as a trainer in leadership, communication, and presentation at the American Dale Carnegie Institute in Sweden in 1995. Later she moved to a recruiting company and then to a training consulting business. During this time she learned a lot and gained experience from multiple projects while exploring different working strategies. She found out that most managers had not reached their potential despite their desire to continue and grow in their professional development.  Malin believed that she could offer a bespoke, holistic program focused around the individual, and this led to MHLeadership.

Currently, she lives with her family in The Netherlands. Apart from caring about her own health and wellbeing, Malin also advises individuals and organizations how to live a more authentic and healthy life.

Workshop C

How to break through gender biases & boost your career

by Ingrid Veling, Founder of Ignite coaching, Co-founder of Talent Capital & Polaris Stichting, Ad-interim HR Director at RIPE NCC

Do the following scenarios sound familiar?

  • An interesting project is given to your male colleague, not to you…
  • You have been offered a new, challenging role but you feel anxious and unsure because if you take it, you will have to to apply – what are considered – male related behaviors…

Are you curious and want to find out how to deal with such situations and help yourself and other women? Then join this workshop!
The workshop will give you inspiration and provide you with actionable tips on what you can do to make your own careers more successful, fulfilling, and sustainable. You will learn how to effectively deal with e.g. the Goldilocks Dilemma: “displaying traits of a strong leader that cause you to be seen as strident and unlikable, or displaying traits of a traditional feminine leader that cause you to be seen as lacking competence and leadership potential.”
With energizing exercises we will go through the stickiest stereotypes. You will leave with practical tips, so you can make both men and women in your surroundings aware and help them change their thinking.
Let me help you advance in your career and reach for the sky. Beat the gender bias!

Ingrid has held senior HR positions in the international financial services sector, at NN Group & ING Group. In her roles as HR Director, Head of Leadership & Development and Head of Talent Management, she had the privilege to work with, and coach talented leaders and high potentials from various countries and cultures. Additionally, she developed a passion for supporting women in reaching key business positions. During this exciting journey she gained a wealth of knowledge and a truly multi-cultural perspective on ‘Work Culture’, Talent Agility and Leadership Effectiveness.

In 2016, she founded her company ‘Ignite’ and since then works as an executive & (female) talent coach, a diversity & inclusion consultant, a trainer and ad-interim manager. What drives her is creating movement in people and teams. She believes that every person, every team and every organization can reach it’s full potential.

Workshop D

Investing: the financial means for empowerment

by Valentijn van Nieuwenhuijzen, Chief Investment Officer at NN Investment Partners

Education means empowerment and financial education is even more. It enables and empowers humans to reach their desires and goals. It provides means and dividends for life. Women have different financial challenges than men do: they live longer, they usually encounter different gender expectations at their workplace, it is more difficult for them to get business funding.
This workshop will provide you with means to reach your goals and purpose in life, by enhancing your perspective on financial matters. You will:

  • Find out what are the key investment considerations to impact return.
  • Discover about Investment basics (equities, bonds, alternatives; income versus expenses; insurance coverage for unexpected events; natural hedges).
  • Learn to set and achieve lifetime goals. Your goals.
  • Explore what you need to know about investing when you have no experience (when to outsourse and how to start by yourself)

Valentijn is the CIO at NN Investment Partners responsible for giving direction to NNIP’s global investment function and strategy. He has over 18 years of experience working in financial markets. Valentijn is the firm’s key spokesperson on the macro and market outlook.
